SFA National Small Business Awards 2011

2011 has started well. We have had a successful run of events in January, we have high profile events booked and in planning for later in the year and we also found out that we have been nominated as finalists in the SFA National Small Business Awards 2011.

We have been nominated in the category "Outstanding Small Business" and the Finals take place in Trinity College on the 3rd March 2011.

This is the second time we have been nominated, the previous time being in 2007 but we missed out on picking up the Award in the category "for Achievement Innovation and Excellence in Small Business"

Its been a busy few months here in EuroEvents HQ. Thankfully the first six months of the year has been a busy one and is hopefully a sign of the economy been revived from its coma. Budgets for events are no longer what they used to be but at least clients are doing things again!

The recession has corrected everyones prices which everyone can agree got out of control during the boom times! Clients can now get real value for their money and budgets are going a lot further than they did 2 years ago.

We have been lucky to work with some great clients for the first time and work on some fantastic events such as Superquinns Stand at the Taste of Dublin Festival in the Iveagh Gardens and the Young Social Innovators Showcase in Croke Park to name but a few.

EuroEvents win the Award for Best Event at the Special Event Awards in New Orleans

EuroEvents travelled to New Orleans last weekend after being nominated in the Best Event Category and we are extremely proud to annouce that we were the eventual winners after beating stiff competition from California and Germany.

We won the award for our work on the BMW 7 Series Launch on top of Treasury Holdings Building, Alto Vetro.

The Gala Awards have been given by Special Events Magazine, the premier industry publication, since 1986, when the awards honored the "top 10 events of 1985." They recognize the finest work in special events worldwide.

For the 2009 Gala Awards, the magazine received nearly 300 entries in 34 categories from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, China, Denmark, England, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Mexico, Spain, Thailand and the United States of America.

We would also like to thank everyone involved in this event that made it such a worthy Award winner.

EuroEvents awarded Tender for Young Social Innovators Showcase 2010

We are pleased to announce the we have been awarded the Tender for the provision of event management services for the Young Social Innovators Showcase in Croke Park on the 5th May 2010.

We are really looking forward to working with the Young Social Innovators Team in creating the best showcase to date.

Young Social Innovators' mission is to raise social awareness among 15-18 year olds in Ireland by providing social awareness education through action and platforms for young people and those guiding them, which will result in an enhancement of the personal sense of justice, responsibility and capacity innate to all.

EuroEvents Nominated For Award At The Special Events Gala Awards in USA

EuroEvents are extremely proud to announce that we have been nominated for an award at the prestigious Special Events Gala Awards Ceremony in New Orleans, USA.

Last year we successfully launched the new BMW 7 Series on top of a 14 story building in Dublins Grand Canal Dock. It was one of our more technically challenging events and it was because of this that the Judges deemed us worthy of nomination against other entrants from around the world.

We are up against two other nominees in the category "BEST EVENT PRODUCED FOR A CORPORATION OR ASSOCIATION: OVERALL BUDGET $250,000 TO $500,000"

The Gala Awards will handed out on Jan. 15, 2010, at a black-tie gala ceremony in New Orleans at The Special Event show.

House of Horrors - Leinster Rugby Halloween Thriller

Our friends at Leinster Rugby asked us to create the scaryiest House of Horrors possible for the match between Leinster & Cardiff Blues on Halloween night in the RDS.

Inside the House of Horrors there was a dimly lit tunnel walkway with spooky props, characters, smoke, strobe lights and outside there was an evil graveyard.

There were screams, laughs and some tears but most enjoyed the Halloween thriller!

Oh and leinster won which made the night!

Opel Ireland Dealer Conference

Last weekend Kilsaran Concrete launched their brand new showrooms and gardens in Dunboyne. The beuatifully finished gardens showcase the different products available from Kilsaran to the general public

Richard Corrigan and his team from Bentleys Restaurant provided exceptional food to the guests before Minister Dempsey unveiled the official plaque.

Chorus NTL - Rugby Live Show

It was the first Rugby Live Show in the RDS which coincided with leinsters first home game.

Chorus NTL were the show sponsor and we were responsible for the design and build of their exhibition stand. Staff from Chorus NTL were on hand all weekend to showcase their Broadband, HD Television, and Phone services.

IRB Rugby World Cup 2015 & 2019 Host Union Announcement

As Rugby fans ourselves it was with added pleasure we were working once again with the IRB to stage the annoucement of the host Union for the 2015 & 2019 Rugby World Cup. England and Japan were the two countries chosen to the host this prestigous event.

Out of all the press, ex rugby legends, Union Representatives there was one special guest everyone wanted see.....the Webb Ellis World Cup! Hopefully it will back in Ireland after RWC 2011 as our four year guest!

Smirnoff Mule

We are currently in the middle of a nationwide launch of the "Extraordinary" new Smirnoff Mule.

All of over the country in Pubs and Clubs the Smirnoff Mule Extravaganza is taking place which involves Stiltwalkers, Fire Jugglers, Hoola Hoopers and Aerial Acts.

BMW Z4 Launch

Once again we worked with BMW Ireland to launch their gorgeous new model, the Z4 Roadster.

Harvey Nichols was the venue of choice for this launch and fitted in perfectly with the launch of the latest BMW. We transformed the Cafe and terrace for an evening where BMW Clients enjoyed the culinary delights of Harvey Nic's and some delicious Cocktails.

Irish Independent - Event Industry Awards

3 Mobile Golf Challenge

Over the last few weekends you may have come across our newest creation on behalf of 3 Mobile.

So far we have been in Swords, Limerick, Cork, Baltray, Dundrum and Waterford.

We created a specially designed structure which contains a virtual driving range where the public can pratice their swing! The longest drive so far has been 351 yards!

The aim of the nationwide promotion is to promote the 3 Irish Open in Baltray this May. This is the first year that 3 have sponsored this event.

BMW Art Car

BMW have brought in a specially commissioned Art Car which was designed by Alexander Calder.

The BMW Art Car Project was introduced by the French racecar driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain, who wanted to invite an artist to create an a canvas on an autombile.

It was in 1975, when Poulain commissioned American artist and friend Alexander Calder to paint the first BMW Art Car. This first example would be a BMW 3.0 CSL which Poulain himself would race in the 1975 Le Mans endurance race.

Since Calder's work of art, many other renowned artists throughout the world have created BMW Art Cars, including Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, Robert Rauschenberg, and Roy Lichtenstein.

You can view the BMW Art Car at the Museum of Modern at in the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham from the 1st April to the 21st June

Make A Wish Ball 2009

The Make A Wish Ball will once again be taking place in the Burlington Hotel on the 31st October 2009.

We are once again looking after the production of the night and hope to raise much needed money to be able to grant terminally ill children their one wish.

This years theme is still under wraps but will be announced soon.

Women of Malawi

EuroEvents are proud to be supporting Dr. Valerie Donnellys Malawi Charity and her concert with the Celtic Tenors which aims to raise much needed funds for her work in Malawi. Dr. Valerie Donnelly is a practising Obstetrician in Mount Carmel Hospital and has travelled to Malawi a number of times where she has witnessed first hand the needless deaths of women during childbirth.

Infant mortality, within the hospital, is 10%. Maternal mortality, within the hospital, is 1 in 2000. This compares to a ratio of 1 in 100,000 in Ireland.

The Concert with Celtic Tenors will be held in the RDS Concert Hall on the 13th June 2009 at 8pm. Tickets will be priced at €100.

Motorbike and Scooter Show RDS 2009

Another Succesful year for BMW at a very busy Motorbike Show in the RDS.

It was a busy three days for all the Motorrad Staff and the crowds were out despite the doom and gloom which was great to see.

Once again we were responsible for BMW Motorrad's Stand which is one of the largest at the Show. There were 20 bikes from BMW's diverse range so whether its touring or racing they had something there to suit everyones needs.

The Motorbike Show will now be every two years so we look forward to seeing all you Bikers in 2011.
